Contestants will use their drafting skills to solve an Architectural problem. The problem includes a written test, a hand sketch, and drawings EITHER computer-generated or board drafted. If board drafting, please bring all necessary equipment. The contest tests the contestants’ problem solving abilities, not simply their CAD skills.
All students must be able to save their drawings as PDF’s to turn into the judge or they will not be scored.
AutoCAD 2014, AutoCAD Arch 2014, Inventor 2014 and Revit 2012 will be provided at the site. If you wish to use a different software or newer version, you will need to bring your own laptop with that loaded on it. Proof of licensing for every software program installed on the contestant’s computer
